As a nurse, I was often told to wear compression socks throughout my nursing career and pregnancy. Yet, like many others, I never truly wanted to wear them myself.

Over the years, I noticed the same story repeating among my patients: tired, aching legs caused by long hours of standing, busy commutes, travel, and everyday life.

Compression socks were frequently recommended by healthcare professionals, but many people disliked wearing them. They were difficult to put on, felt too warm, or looked overly clinical. The need was real. The experience wasn’t.

Determined to create something people would actually enjoy wearing, I worked directly with manufacturers through multiple rounds of development and sampling. The result was GlideKnit™ — a specially engineered knit construction that stretches more easily during wear while retaining its graduated compression fit, making compression socks easier to put on without compromising support.

The Needy Socks was then born. Tested on real legs, and built for people who refuse to choose between looking good and feeling good.
