Frequently asked questions
About compression socks
What are compression socks?
Compression socks are made to apply graduated pressure to the legs. This support helps encourage healthy leg circulation and provides steady comfort throughout the day.
What is graduated compression?
Graduated compression applies gentle pressure that is strongest at the ankle and gradually eases upward. This encourages healthy blood flow and helps counter the effects of gravity during long hours of sitting or standing.
Who benefits from wearing compression socks?
Compression socks are ideal for:
• Long hours of sitting or standing
• Travel and long flights
• Desk work
• Certain occupations such as nurses, retail workers, and healthcare professionals
• Everyday circulation support
• Those who experience tired or heavy legs
• Pregnancy support (mild compression; consult your healthcare provider if unsure)
Are compression socks suitable for everyone?
Our 15–20 mmHg compression level is suitable for most people.
However, if you have significant circulation disorders, advanced diabetes with circulation concerns, or require prescribed medical compression, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before use.
Is it normal to feel tight when wearing compression socks?
Yes. Compression socks are designed to feel snug, especially around the ankle. They should feel supportive, not painful. If you experience numbness or significant discomfort, remove them.
How do I put them on properly?
Turn the sock inside out up to the heel, place your foot in, then gently roll the sock up your leg. Avoid pulling forcefully from the top.
What makes TNS different from other compression socks?
TNS socks are designed to balance graduated support with refined, wearable aesthetics — so compression becomes part of your everyday wardrobe, not something to hide.
Sizing & materials
How do I choose my size?
Our socks are currently available in S/M. We are working on expanding our size range in future collections.
You can check these three measurements to see if the S/M size fits you:
Foot length
23–27 cm (approximately US shoe size 6–11)
Sock length
30–36 cm, designed to sit just below the knee
Calf circumference
25–40 cm
Measure around the widest part of your calf.
What materials are TNS socks made of?
80% nylon and 20% spendex.
This blend provides durability, stretch, breathability, moisture-wicking comfort, and long-lasting elasticity, helping keep your legs cool and comfortable even in warm, humid weather.
Care for your compression socks
How should I wash them?
• Hand wash if possible
• Machine wash cold inside the provided laundry mesh bag
• Do not bleach
• Do not tumble dry
• Air dry flat
• Do not iron
High heat can damage elastic fibres and reduce the longevity of the compression.
How long will the compression last?
With proper care, compression typically maintains effectiveness for several months of regular wear. Avoiding high heat helps preserve elasticity.
